Hopkins Law are proud to be supporting George Thomas Hospice Care as their nominated charity.
The Hospice is the major provider of free consultant-led community specialist palliative care to those facing cancer and other life threatening illnesses in Cardiff. The Patron of George Thomas Hospice Care is Prince Charles who Wendy met at a reception for the charity at Clarence House in 2010.
Hopkins Law is supporting the Hospice by way of fundraising, attending events and sponsoring various functions.
CHARITY COFFEE MORNING
On Friday 16th September 2011 Wendy Hopkins hosted a Charity Coffee Morning at her gorgeous home in Llandaff to help raise funds. Visitors enjoyed coffee and fabulous cakes made by the Hopkins Law and George Thomas teams in the elegant surrounds of Pen Pentre, one of Cardiff's finest houses.
Guests were also able to purchase George Thomas merchandise and Christmas cards. The raffle was very well supported, with fantastic prizes ranging from a set of chef's knives to a bespoke arrangement from Flowers With A Twist in Pontcanna. Memory Lane cakes supported the Hospice again with a very generous donation of cakes which were sold to those attending, and visitors were treated to live traditional music wafting through the house and gardens

SOAK A SOLICITOR AT THE HOSPICE FUN DAY!
On 25th June we were at the George Thomas Hospice Fun Day with our 'Soak A Solicitor' stocks - what a day! Not only did we raise a good sum for the charity, but we also had the opportunity to lob sponges at each other... and Wendy! Attending the event were Nicky Piper, Fundraising Officer for George Thomas, and also Nathan Cleverly, current WBO light-heavyweight champion... and Wendy was brave enough to go in the stocks while they both 'threw one' at her.
And as if that wasn't enough, Nicky thought it would be a good idea to empty the whole bucket out...

But then we got our own back when Chris took his turn in the stocks:

Back in April Wendy, Chris and Katie appeared as models on the catwalk at the George Thomas Hospice Care Charity Fashion Show - we think maybe second careers beckon all of them!
